Deja Vu

This is one of the images from my exploration on the Styrofoam coffee cup (the irony of our throw-away society and the forever-ness of Styrofoam). After spending an enormous amount of time wrestling with the image of the ubiquitous coffee cup (primarily Dunkin Donuts), I returned to the abstract, stain-painting of my earlier work and found I could not escape. An after-image, a kind of Deja Vu remained to anchor me.
